Imola was a blast. Spa has been litterally incredible. Adam Ali and Matthew Bell roar again conquering the second win in a row in the 2024 European Le Mans Series together with Eurointernational.
The duo on the #11 Ligier-Nissan made a sensational recovery after the unlucky episode that put the britih driver into the gravel.
The 43 cars got a clean start, with all the competitors making around the first corner at La Source without incident. After two period of Safety Car in the first hour, a separate incident saw our car driven by Matt Bell hit from behind at Les Combes with the Ligier spinning into the gravel. Luckily Bell was able to recover the car just as the Safety Car was deployed for third time. The second half of the race had no neutralization, allowing the Eurointernational duo to close the gap and put themselves in the fight for the win. Adam Ali went into the lead and pulled away from the rest of the field to take the chequered flag 15 seconds ahead of the group.
With this result Adam Ali and Matthew Bell pulled away in the LMP3 standings, now with 77 points, 14 more of the direct opponents with just two rounds to go. Same gap also in the Teams standings between Eurointernational (leader) and RLR M Sport.
The next race will be the 4 Hours of Mugello on Sunday 29 September, the penultimate race of the 2024 season.
